Dr. Annie Huang brings a rare mix of sharp clinical insight, warmth, and humor to every patient interaction. She grew up in Vancouver before heading to McGill University, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology and East Asian Studies. She later completed her Doctor of Optometry with Distinction at the University of Waterloo, where she served as president of the American Association of Optometry Student Chapter and championed lifelong learning.

Dr. Huang has a special interest in geriatric eye care and ocular pathology, particularly in the management of macular degeneration and other retinopathies. Her calm presence, sharp eye for detail, and genuine enjoyment of working with seniors make her an exceptional resource for patients navigating age-related vision changes. She takes her time, listens closely, and brings just the right touch of humor to make each visit both informative and enjoyable.

Her dedication to educating others extends beyond the clinic. Dr. Huang was invited to speak to the Burnaby Division of Family Practice, where she gave a well-received lecture on ocular conditions affecting seniors. She has also represented Integra Eyecare on an international level, joining a select group of optometrists from across Canada for a Cooper Vision visit to Costa Rica, where she toured their contact lens manufacturing facility and learned firsthand about their sustainability initiatives,

At Integra, Dr. Huang is known for her clarity, thoroughness, and ability to make even the most complex eye conditions understandable. Patients appreciate her honest communication and her ability to put them at ease with a smile and a laugh.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Huang is an avid cross stitcher and a passionate home cook. She can often be found flipping through cookbooks, experimenting in the kitchen, or discovering new places to eat. She is also embracing her green thumb and learning the joys (and occasional heartbreak) of gardening. She speaks English and Mandarin and is always ready with a thoughtful answer or a great restaurant recommendation.

Dr. Huang is happily married and proud to call Vancouver home once again. Her patients are in excellent hands.
