Dr. Pola Kalinowski is known for her gentle approach, attentive care, and thoughtful presence. She brings a strong clinical foundation to Integra Eyecare with a special interest in specialty contact lenses, myopia management, dry eye therapy, and ocular disease.
Raised in Surrey, British Columbia, Dr. Kalinowski earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Physiology from Simon Fraser University before moving to Oregon to complete her Doctor of Optometry at Pacific University, graduating with distinction. Her clinical training took her across Oregon, Washington, and back to British Columbia, where she gained hands-on experience in dry eye management, scleral lens fittings, cataract post-operative care, and complex ocular disease.
Her interest in optometry began with a personal experience. As a lifeguard and swim instructor, she struggled with blurry vision while in the water. Everything changed when her optometrist introduced her to orthokeratology lenses — a solution that gave her clear vision without needing daytime glasses or contacts. That moment sparked a fascination with vision science and planted the seed for a career dedicated to helping others see their world more clearly.
