Collaborative Care
At Integra, co-management is not an afterthought. It is built into the way we practise. Whether we are supporting surgical outcomes, managing complex disease, or guiding patients through urgent care, we work as a trusted extension of your clinical team.
We have a highly trained group of optometrists who work closely with two in-house ophthalmic surgeons. Together, we cover the full spectrum of care, from LASIK and PRK follow-up to the ongoing monitoring of systemic disease with ocular involvement.
Surgical Co-Management
We provide seamless support for LASIK, PRK, SMILE, and refractive lens exchange. From initial counselling and candidacy assessment to post-operative care, our team ensures patients feel supported every step of the way. With surgeons available on-site, communication is streamlined and interventions happen without delay.
Medical Co-Management
General practitioners and specialists frequently refer patients to us for ocular management of systemic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disease, and autoimmune disorders. Our team is trained to detect subtle changes early and communicate findings clearly back to the referring physician. Every report is timely, complete, and focused on protecting patient vision.
Emergency and Complex Case Support
We regularly co-manage acute conditions and complex clinical cases, including corneal ulcers, retinal changes, optic nerve issues, uveitis, and more. Referring providers trust us with their most difficult cases because they know their patients will be seen promptly, evaluated thoroughly, and cared for with both expertise and empathy.
Our approach to co-management is collaborative, respectful, and patient centred. We see our role as an ally to both patients and providers. Whether you are a surgeon, family doctor, or fellow optometrist, you can count on Integra to deliver the kind of care you would want for your own family.
