Comprehensive Eye Exams

Comprehensive Eye Exams That Live Up to the Name

A comprehensive exam at Integra is not just a routine checkup. It is a complete and detailed evaluation of your vision and eye health, guided by precision, experience, and purpose. We combine advanced diagnostic tools with the kind of clinical care that goes beyond standard protocols, because that is what it takes to deliver truly exceptional outcomes.

What Every Exam Includes
We begin with a detailed review of your health history, vision needs, and any symptoms you may be experiencing. Every patient receives ultra widefield retinal imaging using the Optos Monaco, which captures a 200 degree view of the retina and provides high resolution images that help detect issues long before they cause symptoms. The Monaco also includes integrated Optical Coherence Tomography, giving us a cross sectional view of the retina and optic nerve. This includes angiography, which maps blood flow and allows us to detect early signs of vascular changes, macular degeneration, or glaucoma.

Our autorefracting system is the most accurate in the industry. It gives us consistent and objective starting points that improve the precision of your prescription and allow for a smoother and more efficient refraction process. These measurements are refined in our digital refraction lanes, which use advanced optics and automated systems to ensure consistent, repeatable results tailored to your vision.

In every exam, we evaluate the entire visual system, from the front surface of the eye to the deepest layers of the retina. We assess how well your eyes work together, how they respond to light, and whether there are early signs of disease that require further testing.

Additional Testing and Technology
If needed, we include Neurolens screening to evaluate eye misalignment and how it may be contributing to symptoms like headaches, fatigue, or digital strain. This technology allows us to detect subtle imbalances and treat them with specialized lenses that correct for eye misalignment and relieve visual stress.

Patients with medical conditions such as diabetes, glaucoma, or dry eye may require additional tests like topography, visual fields, tear film analysis, or meibomian gland imaging. When appropriate, we may also recommend dilation or cycloplegic refraction to complete the evaluation.

Your Time and What to Expect
We ask that you arrive 15 minutes early so we can begin your appointment on time. Our team works diligently to stay on schedule, but due to the thorough nature of our exams and the unpredictability of clinical findings, delays can occasionally occur. We recommend setting aside at least one hour for your visit, and more if you are aware of any conditions that may require further testing.

Patient Access and Communication
Our electronic health record system allows you to access your clinical records securely and conveniently through a HIPAA compliant portal. You can view prescriptions, reports, and even communicate directly with your doctor when questions or concerns arise.

The Integra Difference.

What sets Integra apart is not just the technology, but the philosophy behind how we use it. Every piece of equipment is chosen with purpose. Every exam is designed with intention. And every patient is treated with the time, attention, and precision we would expect for ourselves and our families.
